Blake Bloodworth joins the Francis Marion University staff as a sports information intern for 2011-2012.

Bloodworth, 24, graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism in 2010 from Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.  In his time at Illinois State, Bloodworth worked closely with both the university radio and television stations.

He has also spent time working in athletics, both as a broadcast and media relations intern with a professional baseball team (Normal CornBelters), as well as working the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament.

Prior to attending Illinois State, Bloodworth spent two years at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill., where he was a left-handed pitcher on the Division III Beavers squad.

He is an avid Chicago sports fan, following the Blackhawks, Bears and White Sox.  He also is a fan of Notre Dame football and Illinois State basketball.
