Francis Marion University Athletic Training

The Francis Marion University Athletic Training Room is located on the south side of Walter D. Smith University Center, just off the gymnasium (see Campus Map).

 

Athletic Training Room Hours of Operation:

Athletic training room will be open two hours before a competition for pre-game taping and treatments and will remain open throughout the conclusion of competition for the day.

Athletic training room will be open one hour before a practice for pre-practice taping, treatment and rehab and will remain open throughout the conclusion of practices for the day.

Athletic Training Services Provided: Musculoskeletal Evaluations ; Rehabilitation ; Taping and Bracing

Modalities

• Ice
• Ultrasound
• Hydrocollator
• Electrical Stimulation
• Hot & Cold Whirlpool

*Visiting Teams must provide Written Request from ATC or Physician to use these modalities if certified athletic trainer does not accompany team.

*Visiting teams can expect the following items to be On the Bench during competition:

• (1) 10 gallon cooler of ice water
• Cups
• Vacuum splints and crutches will also be available for use as needed.  EMS will be on call if needed.  For any special needs or other treatment times, please contact head athletic trainer Spyder Webb or assistant athletic trainer Joe Cauble at 843-661-1358.
