PERSONAL:  Born David James Turner in Charleston, S.C......A product of Goose Creek High School, where he played under the direction of coaches Brad Dobbels and Tyrone Grant....As a senior, averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game....All-Region and All-Lowcountry selection.....Averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds as a junior for a 27-3 Gator squad that won the Region 7-AAAA title and advanced to the state championship game.....Earned his team's Most Improved Player award.
