PERSONAL: Born Sebastian Hans Backlund in Boras, Sweden.....Product of Katrinelunds gymnasiet high school, where he played for coaches Markus Hakansson and Martin Aleryard....Played on 2007 Swedish National School championship squad.....In 2008, he won five events and finished second in three others....Three of four years between 2003 and 2006, he ranked among the Top-4 for his age group in Sweden.....Hobbies include fishing, soccer, handball, friends and girls.
