Country Club of South Carolina
The Francis Marion University golf program is proud to have as
its home facility the Country Club of South Carolina. The CCSC
course plays par 72 at 7,062 yards. Located five miles from
the FMU campus along SC Highway 327, The Country Club of South
Carolina is a private, residential community woven around our
magnificent Ellis Maples designed championship golf course.
This course isn't just a promise offered by a developer. It's a
challenging, mature golf venue that has regularly served as a
PGA-sanctioned tournament site where golfing legends like Tom
Lehman and Lee Janzen played their way into The Show. Sculpted
fairways wind along scenic lakes and Black Creek, with many greens
tucked into hollows surrounded by dogwoods, azaleas and old-growth
hardwoods. For newcomers and old-hands alike, the look and feel of
the course is reminiscent of the sport's most hallowed halls.
Each hole offers unique vistas as well as satisfying rewards for a
well-played shot. And to help you hone those shots, there's a
complete package of practice facilities, including range, putting
green, bunkers and professional instruction.
