Mickey Poirier, a native of Frederick, Md., enters his first year as a student assistant coach for the Patriots.

He was a three-year letterman for FMU after playing his freshman season at NCAA Division I Mount St. Mary's University.  As a Patriot, he was a semi-finalist in B Flight Doubles at the 2010 USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Tournament in Sumter, S.C.

He is finishing up his undergraduate degree with a concentration in Finance.

He has served as a coach at the Cattail Creek Country Club in Howard Country, Md., also at Holly Hills Country Clubs in Frederick, Md.
