Patriots to run at inaugural USCA event
The Francis Marion University men's and women's cross country
teams will both run in the Bridgestone-Pacer Invitational,
hosted by USC Aiken on Saturday (Sept. 25).
The meet will serve as USCA’s first full meet at the
Pacers’ new home course, Pacer Path.
The Bridgestone-Pacer Invitational will feature four different
divisions. The collegiate men and women will get things underway
first with the 8,000-meter men’s race set to start at 8 a.m.
The women’s 5,000-meter collegiate race will begin shortly
thereafter at 8:45 a.m.
Immediately after the collegiate races, high school teams from
the Aiken area will compete. The high school varsity girls'
5,000-meter race is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., followed by the high
school varsity boys' 5,000-meter race at approximately 10 a.m.
Among the teams expected to participate in the college races are
Augusta State, Clayton State, Erskine, Francis Marion, Paine, and
USCA.
This will be the Patriots' third meet of the 2010 season.
