FMU sets Women's Basketball Team & Individual Summer Camps
The Francis Marion University women’s basketball program has set the dates for its annual Team and Individual Summer Camps for 2011. A two-day Team Camp will be held on June 14-15, while a one-day session of the Individual Camp will be held June 25.
The cost of the Team Camp will be a $75 team deposit and $20 per player. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of six games. Play will be divided into varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels. There is also a one-day Team Camp option.
The Individual Camp, for players in grades five through 12, will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The cost will be $40 per camper. Instruction will be given by skill level and will be in a small group environment. Campers will receive a T-shirt.
FMU head coach Kate Glusko, who recently completed her first season at Francis Marion and took the Patriots to the NCAA Tournament, will direct the camps. She is a graduate of West Virginia University where she played on two squads that advanced to post-season play. Other members of her staff will also assist with the camps.
