FMU women's soccer hosts The Citadel on Tuesday

The Francis Marion University women's soccer team will host The Citadel for an exhibition match on Tuesday (Aug. 18).

The match will kick-off at 1 p.m. on the FMU Soccer Field, and admission is free.

Under the direction of first-year head coach Joel Person, the Patriot women return 15 letterwinners, including eight starters, from last season's 6-12-1 squad.

This will be the third season as a full-fledged NCAA Division I member for the FMU program.  The Patriots will open their regular-season on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at Campbell University, before then hosting Navy on Sunday at noon.

The Citadel, 3-14-1 a year ago, returns 14 players including sophomore defender Leah Hawkins, a product of Wilson High School.
